Arctic-2 LNG has been expecting to start exporting soon and it is uncertain how much Russian LNG would be blocked by the new measures. Ideological battles among House Republicans are not a new phenomenon on Capitol Hill. But in recent years, conservative frustrations have boiled over, leading to the actual ouster of a GOP speaker. President Bill Clinton, right, shakes hands with House Speaker Newt Gingrich at the US Capitol on January 24, 1995. And the next Republican speaker, even a lawmaker as conservative as Jordan, will also have to navigate those choppy waters. House Republicans over the past 30 years could largely spare a few defections during the times when it held the majority, but with the current majority being so close, it no longer has that luxury.

Doug Mills/Pool via REUTERS Acquire Licensing RightsWASHINGTON, Oct 4 (Reuters) - The United States is expected to soon announce that it will send seized Iranian small arms and ammunition to Ukraine, a U.S. official said on Wednesday. A U.S. official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said an announcement could come as early as this week. The seized weapons being transferred are also unlikely to ease concerns about the continued flow of western weapons to Kyiv. Last year, Britain's Royal Navy said one of its warships had seized Iranian weapons, including surface-to-air-missiles and engines for cruise missiles, from smugglers in international waters south of Iran. The United States has put pressure on its ally Saudi Arabia to end the war and linked some U.S. military support to the kingdom to ending its involvement in Yemen.

Weeks later, Mr. Trump is the former President Trump. Instead, in a brief televised address shortly before 2:30 a.m., Mr. Trump furiously laid down his postelection lie. For weeks, Mr. Trump had been peppering him with tips of fraud that, upon investigation by federal authorities, proved baseless. The cavalry “is coming, Mr. President,” Kylie Kremer tweeted to Mr. Trump on Dec. 19. On Jan. 15, Mr. Trump acquiesced to an Oval Office meeting with Mr. Lindell, who arrived with two sets of documents.

Dr. Fauci Looks Back: ‘Something Clearly Went Wrong’ In his most extensive interview yet, Anthony Fauci wrestles with the hard lessons of the pandemic — and the decisions that will define his legacy. But when people say, “Fauci shut down the economy” — it wasn’t Fauci. But somehow or other, the general public didn’t get that feeling that the vulnerable are really, really heavily weighted toward the elderly. We also had a public-health system that we thought was really, really good. But it was really, really antiquated.

Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is retiring from football. His seven Super Bowl titles are more than any single organization has won. He was twice foiled in the Super Bowl by the New York Giants. Brady racked up yardage but Tampa Bay fired its offensive coordinator, Byron Leftwich. Look again, though, at the piercing final play from that game: A 30-yard Rams field goal, the ball snapped from the Tampa Bay 12-yard line.

Every year, starting in early fall, photo editors at The New York Times begin sifting through the year’s work in an effort to pick out the most startling, most moving, most memorable pictures. But 2022 undoubtedly belongs to the war in Ukraine, a conflict now settling into a worryingly predictable rhythm. Trump's campaign and an affiliated committee regularly spent millions of dollars through American Made Media Consultants, according to FEC records. Insider was able to independently verify those details with other sources close to the Trump campaign. A request for comment from the Trump campaign was not immediately returned Friday evening. But in a previous statement to Insider, Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh said Lara Trump and John Pence did nothing wrong. Among those cases is one filed in July by the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center, which accused the Trump campaign of using American Made Media Consultants to illegally disguise campaign spending.
Murdoch family, 1987: Lachlan, James, Anna and Rupert. The second season of HBO’s “Succession,” whose fictional media family, the Roys, bears a striking resemblance to the Murdochs, airs this summer. ‘A press dictatorship’To understand how the Murdoch empire works, it is essential to return to its origins. The bigger Murdoch’s empire became, the more power he had to clear away obstacles to further its expansion. Like his father, Lachlan considered the idea of meddling with such an important profit driver a form of madness.
